Phillies win game and series in walk-off fashion vs Nationals on Wednesday! | First road game of the season out in Colorado vs Rockies today

Wednesday's game was an absolute classic of a contest. What a way to begin April, and what a way to get their first series win of the season! It's also their first time winning consecutive games all season, and the most runs they scored in a game all season.

It was far from easy for the Phillies to get this victory. Frankly it was pretty improbable they got this one done as they were down 5-1 in the seventh inning. A four run deficit isn't an unheard of comeback by any means but, with only a few innings to play, it was going to be challenging. But the Phillies were up to the challenge!

Two solo home runs in the seventh and eighth by J.T. Realmuto and Bryce Harper kept the game very much within striking distance. Then the bottom of the lineup came through in some stunning ways in the ninth and then tenth!

Edmundo Sosa recorded one of the biggest hits of his life when he tied the game up with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth with a two RBI single!

Then in the tenth the ROOKIE Justin Crawford hits the walk-off in the bottom of the tenth! In Philadelphia! Too exciting! That's the way to start a career!

In back to back games two Phillies rookies came up CLUTCH in starting pitcher Andrew Painter and now center fielder Justin Crawford! That's a wonderful sign for the future. A pair of wins essentially thanks to the youngest guys on the team! Beautiful. Truly a lot of milestones for the Phillies these past two games.

Aaron Nola gets his second start of the season out in Colorado. Hopefully the guys can build on this momentum.
