Well, once again life gets slightly busy. I had to run some errands, do several small things I was behind on and so yeah. Baseball doesn't stop for me though!

On Saturday, the White Sox got a bit of revenge vs the Phillies. Andrew Painter continues to struggle for the most part. He's shown a handful of flashes but it's overall been a struggle in his rookie season. Stinks to see but I wouldn't be shocked to see him be sent down somewhat soon. Just being honest. It's a business at the end of the day! Offensively, the Phils weren't great either, they only scored three runs. Alec Bohm and Brandon Marsh homered, and Adolis García drove in the third run. The Phils only had five hits that day so, those three provided the majority of the offense in the loss.

Yesterday's contest was another offensive battle, which ended in favor of the Phillies! The game featured pretty much six lead changes overall but the Phillies pulled away starting in the fifth. The fellas won 9-5. I keep wanting to be optimistic about Aaron Nola but he then has a rough start. I guess the conclusion about Nola is that he's simply the fourth or fifth best guy in a rotation at this point. Maybe I'll just have to start holding him to a different standard these days.

Brandon Marsh simply cannot be stopped! He's homered in three straight games now! Oh yeah, the man leads the majors in batting average with a .338 average!! Some perhaps thought he was simply off to a hot start, but now we're in June people! Too cool. He now has eight homers. Marsh is a pretty big dude I always felt like he had more to offer from a power perspective. Maybe he can keep that aspect of his offense up, that would be glorious!

Cristopher Sánchez is on the mound tonight in Toronto. I always get so excited to see him pitch these days!!! Fun times when he pitches! Life's short, it's nice to appreciate greatness!
