I can't even lie, I have missed most of the last two games here. Life has been really busy and frankly, sort of depressing. Watching baseball as an adult can be way more challenging than as a kid. Work, and other random obligations can really interfere with watching the Phillies. Ugh. Oh well, there's still a TON more games. Yesterday was a thriller though and it stinks I missed it.

The offense for the Phillies is still really shining and I love to see it. I am surprised that Bryson Stott hitting lead off has led to a lot of positive results! Of course I doubt that it's only because of this simple change but I definitely think it's helped.

It's Aaron Nola on the mound today and so let's see if he can stack together some good starts after his last few were respectable. I'm still mildly concerned about him but he's established himself enough to the point that he's earned a bit of trust.

The Phillies are playing a very good Guardians team who has the same record as the Phillies at 22-15. It's not unrealistic to imagine this being a World Series preview! That would be cool.
