Well, Zack Wheeler wasn't quite as dominant as Cristopher Sánchez the day prior, but he was still pretty solid! I feel as though the two of them are pushing each other to be great, but that's just a gut feeling. Maybe other pitchers in the rotation will feel the desire to push themselves as well!

Wheeler pitched six scoreless innings, while that wasn't quite as strong as Sánchez the day prior, it still means that Phillies' starting pitchers have pitched 14 straight scoreless innings in the past two games, ya love to see that!

Bryson Stott has been really strong in May and he emphasized that yesterday with a clutch two RBI single in the bottom of the fourth to give the Phillies the lead. Stott now has 20 RBI in the month of May alone, this leads the National League for the month! Stott has always been average in my opinion, with some mildly above average defensive skills and running speed which is good. Stott is also reliably average, he doesn't typically get super cold for the most part, and also doesn't get all that hot for the most part. He's just a solid respectable pro and is also usually pretty healthy. Stott is now 28 and perhaps he's reaching his prime now, we'll see how the rest of the season goes. If a lot of these somewhat average but also somewhat younger guys like Stott, Bohm, and Marsh can begin to exceed expectations a bit, the Phillies could really be on their way here.

Later in the game, Jhoan Durán redeemed himself a bit after yesterday's rough outing by securing the game and getting the save in the ninth!

So it was a relatively clean 3-0 victory all around. Phillies are back to .500 and can win the series today with Andrew Painter on the mound. Painter has been better recently so let's see if he can really string together some starts.

It's been a relentlessly rainy, chilly Memorial Day weekend, but they've managed to get the games in still!
