Phillies lose to Mets Yesterday | Cristopher Sanchez Starts Game Two Tonight
Ah well, it's starting to seem like the Phillies may have an Aaron Nola problem. He's 0-5 with a 6.43 ERA and we are still in April. Is that an 0-20 pace? I dunno if my math is correct necessarily there but the point is the man looks seriously lost on the hill. He normally tries to sort of be a finesse, location, tactical type of pitcher but batters are just having none of it it seems. He continues to give up homers routinely. I'm starting to feel really nervous for the guy.
Yeah, last night wasn't all Nola's fault I guess. The Phillies offense was not doing well until the ninth when they attempted a comeback, scoring four that final inning. A Bryson Stott three-run home run was nice to see that brought the game within a run but, it was ultimately too little too late and the Phils lost 4-5. Nola did give up four so, yeah if he had pitched a bit better the results may have been different. Phils have 10 losses, Nola is 0-5. Yikes.
Anyway, that was yesterday. Tonight Cristopher Sanchez takes the hill after his 12 strikeout performance the other day. The Phils can still win this pivotal series so not all is doom and gloom.
I'm ready.
