Well, yesterday was disappointing for the Phillies. Ugh. It was a pitcher's duel that unfortunately was in favor of Houston's excellent pitcher Framber Valdez. Valdez has a history of doing well against the Phillies unfortunately, dating back to that World Series in 2022 when Valdez won two games against the Phillies including the series clinching game. Ranger Suárez more than held his own against Valdez, going nearly eight innings and allowing just a singular solo home run in the eighth inning. Just brutal. I feel really bad for Ranger but, sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles, in the majors especially. The guys need to figure out Valdez. Could easily see him again in the future.

Zack Wheeler on the mound for this important game two in Texas. Wheeler got the win against the Mets recently but didn't necessarily look overly dominant. But right now after yesterday all eyes are on the Phillies' offense! The boys need to lock in and get it done!

Should be a good night either way. I referenced the weather yesterday but I forgot the Astros play in a dome LOL. There's showers in the area but, it won't impact the game.
