Phillies have won two series in a row! | Phillies begin weekend series vs D-Backs tonight + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 47
My goodness I am so glad to be able to enjoy a Phillies game in full from start to finish in just a few minutes. I really enjoy this so much. Watching and writing about the team is such a fun time for me and I'm glad I can just jump right back in it.
After a rough stretch where the Phillies found themselves at .500, the Phillies have now rebounded well and sit at 17-14, three games above .500 and looking to extend that win-loss difference in a positive way starting tonight.
Of the recent Phillies victories I missed writing on, I'd love to mention a game that occurred Tuesday. The Phillies were up three entering the ninth inning when, thanks to Orion Kerkering and some pretty bad defense by the Phillies, the Nationals actually scored four runs to take the lead and forced the game to see the bottom of the ninth. Alec Bohm, Bryson Stott, Max Kepler, and Johan Rojas collectively played clean offense and got the job done for the clutch walk-off victory thanks to a passed ball/wild pitch by the Nationals. Just a really exciting team win!
Tonight Jesús Luzardo takes the hill and he looks to continue his strong start to 2025. He enters the game 3-0 with a 1.73 ERA. The Diamondbacks enter tonight with the same 17-14 record as the Phillies. Let's see how this opening game plays out!
