The state of Pennsylvania has seen a lot of rain for many days now, despite the dreary weather though, the Phillies managed to play Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Game one went well as the Phillies won a tightly contested 2-1 battle. Phillies starting pitcher Jesús Luzardo continues to excel, he's been a tremendous key addition to the Phillies in 2025. One of my favorite players to watch! Luzardo is 4-0 so far in 2025 with an excellent 2.00 ERA!

Game two on the other hand, did not go very smoothly whatsoever. The Phils jumped out to a nice 5-1 lead in the first inning, but the Cardinals completely overpowered Aaron Nola who continues to struggle in a big way. Nola gave up a whopping NINE runs. As excellent as Luzardo has been, Nola's play is unfortunate to see.

Tonight the Phillies are set to play the Pittsbrugh Pirates in the Battle of PA! It would be wild to one day see a Phillies-Pirates NLCS. The Pirates are struggling a bit in 2025, so hopefully the Phillies can take care of business. Ranger Suárez on the mound. I'd love to see a repeat of his last performance!
