Phillies get shutout for the first time in 2026 vs Giants | Aaron Nola on the mound for deciding game of the series

Ugh. Life is kicking my butt lately. I'm just down in the dumps to astronomical degrees. Stupid decisions stacked on stupid decisions. I am typically late with these sports posts but I'm never proud of it really. Today there was no reason for me to be posting late. I'm just slacking at a historically pitiful level.

Anyway, to an extent the Phillies offense slacked to a historical level yesterday as they got shutout for the first time this season. Lucky for them though, they're practically all millionaires LOL. I know it's mildly true that unless you're a top athlete, the money isn't always quite as lucrative as it seems when you take into account taxes and the longevity of a player's career. But even so, the money is still outstanding no question about it. These players make more money in like two weeks than I've probably made my whole life. Unbelievable! Then I assume that a majority of players can make money doing random events, coaching, appearances, things of that nature. So they're usually chilling.

But anyway yeah the Phillies accumulated a whopping four hits yesterday on their way to a 6-0 loss. Alec Bohm and Brandon Marsh did not play. Cristopher Sánchez wasn't sharp and the Phils had two errors. It was just one of them games I guess. Kinda like life for me. Just one of them lives LOL.

Aaron Nola is on the mound today and he's been respectable so far in the extremely early part of the season. He's been like seven percent better than I imagined he would be thus far but we're just about seven percent through the season which is in fact funny. I promise I didn't know how far they were in the season prior to ballparking Aaron Nola's performance. Just a fun little coincidence. Also, I'm rounding up in terms of how far along the Phillies season is.

Yep the Phils still have a chance to win this series though with a win today. Bohm and Marsh are playing. A win today would also prevent the Phillies from dropping to .500 as they currently have a 6-5 record.

Let's see how it goes.

Pardon my whiny tone here. But also, I don't really care HA.

#GOPHILLIES!!!
