Phillies get crushed for a third straight game... | Cristopher Sánchez on the mound vs Chris Sale for the Braves tonight

The Phillies just keep on getting crushed. It's depressing for so many reasons, one of them being that Bryce Harper is actually playing well. I don't know it just bothers me that our star player is actually playing well while the team looks awful. He had three of the team's six hits yesterday. I was definitely silly in hindsight for thinking that Taijuan Walker could be looking better. He had another terrible outing. He gave up seven runs and allowed ten baserunners in just four innings. The only tiny positive I can say for Walker is the Braves are looking really good in 2026. Also, the Phillies lost 9-0 so even if he would have allowed just one run it wouldn't have mattered. What a mess!

The Phillies have now been outscored 30-6 in the last three games... After today the season will be over 12% complete. The boys are three games under .500. They still have two more games against this good Braves team. YIKES. Maybe they will just get beat down bad enough that they will be humbled and lock in going forward. I don't know.

Cristopher Sánchez is on the mound today which surprises me a bit as I expected Andrew Painter. But the Phillies had a day off recently, have been getting crushed, and are facing one of the better pitchers in baseball in Chris Sale tonight. I imagine that's generally the reason Sánchez is pitching, but it's only a guess.

But hey, if the boys can go ahead and win the next two games, my attitude will pretty much completely flip. For the most part anyway.

EVERYONE needs to wake up. Besides Bryce Harper LOL.

It's a perfect day for baseball in Philly mid sixties, could even dip into the mid fifties by the game's end.

I'm busy today but will be listening to the game as I grind!
