Marcus Mariota 'Absolute Football' Panini 2019 NFL Football Card
On this day six years ago the Marcus Mariota and the Titans shocked the NFL world and dominated the eventual Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots, 34-10.
This description is fire!!!
I remember this Patriots game the card mentions pretty well. I was at work and so I kept track on my phone. My co-worker and I were surprised to see the Titans begin to fairly easily dominate the Patriots in a big upset. The Titans had just lost three games in a row and needed a win desperately. This was also Mike Vrabel's first season as a head coach with the Titans.
Not only did the Patriots eventually win the Super Bowl, but the Titans also actually lost to the Patriots in the Divisional Round of the playoffs the previous season. This win sandwiched in between those facts, is pretty freaking cool. Shows how good the Titans really were in this era. Some regular season wins just hit different.
The card itself is pretty cool. Mariota almost seems like he is smirking in this picture as he drops back to fire a pass.
Can't believe this was six years ago. Insane how much life changes. I need to continue to make good choices because life is not slowing down.
The top movie in the US on this day was the animated version of 'The Grinch'. I don't recall seeing this one but now I want to watch it with my son!
