The Phillies are just rolling. After the first rough game, the Phillies now have won two straight against the division rival.

Yesterday's game was a straight up pitcher's duel. Cristopher Sanchez was really strong and he's solidified his spot as the number three guy in this rotation I feel. The Mets' David Peterson pitched equally well.

Neither team could find the the ball offensively, it wasn't until the final two innings anyone scored, when the Mets' Tyrone Taylor homered to take the lead. An R.B.I. by Buddy Kennedy swiftly tied the game in the bottom half of the eighth. Finally in the ninth after a hit and a stolen base by Nick Castellanos, J.T. Realmuto ENDED IT with a clutch hit.

Winning this series was huge. The Phillies are in total control this late in the season. Up nine games in the NL East, up two games for the best record in baseball. Pretty great time to be a Phillies fan.

The Phils are in Milwaukee tonight. With the Division pretty much locked up, this is a very intriguing three game series in it's own way. The Phillies are up four games over the Brewers for the best record in baseball, seeding in the National league could be shaken up big time depending how this series plays out. THEN the Phils play the Mets who will be fighting for a playoff spot themselves.

The Phillies will be in a good position come playoff time but so many things can happen still.

Ranger Suarez hits the mound for the Phillies, curious to see how he pitches against a good club like Milwaukee. Alec Bohm returned for the first time in 14 games yesterday and had a hit, will be great to see him return to form before the playoffs begin.

October is coming quick.

GO PHILS
