Cards From My Personal Collection: Rafael Palmeiro 2003 Topps Season Highlights Card
What a sweet card that describes Palmeiro's 500th home run in full detail. Even his exact statline on the day he did it. LOL. Now, thanks to the magic of the internet, I can see the video of the homer! Just makes the card that much more special.

Rafael Palmeiro's career has been tainted by his steroid use, nevertheless Palmeiro is a part of MLB history and had a great career statistically.
Palmeiro had a long 20 year career that spanned from 1986-2005. He played for the Cubs, Rangers, and Orioles. Interestingly, from 1989-2005, Palmeiro alternated between playing with the Rangers and Orioles. He played five years with the Rangers, five years with the Orioles, five more years with the Rangers, and then his last two seasons were with the Orioles again. Pretty nutty.
Palmeiro is one of the best power hitters the game has seen. His career high for homers was 47, a feat he accomplished twice and in total he hit 40+ home runs four times in his career. He hit 30+ home runs six times as well.
Palmeiro is one of seven players to have 500+ homers and 3000+ hits in his career.
