A's lose a competitive game vs Cardinals yesterday | J.T. Ginn on the mound for the A's tonight
Well, since I wrote the Phillies post a few hours ago, I have since made it home, exhausted. It's been a hectic day or so and I look forward to relaxing with some A's baseball. In fact roughly an hour-ish after I got home, my area got hit with a pretty powerful thunderstorm. Summer storms are coming in hot!
Yesterday's game against the Cardinals was actually pretty entertaining despite the loss. It appeared initially like Jeffrey Springs was going to get demolished on the mound as the Cardinals hit him early with a chunky four run first inning. But impressively, Springs stayed composed and stopped the bleeding thereafter. He managed to survive the early mistakes and last five innings and allowing just those four runs.
After that inning, the A's battled back like they always do. In the second inning the A's put up three runs of their own as Nick Kurtz got the scoring started with an RBI single. All three of the A's other runs came from the bat of Shea Langeliers! The man is killing it in 2026. He hit a two-run double and a solo homer, and oh yeah, it was his 100th homer of his career!
Triple digit homers in the MLB is something to be proud of! Only approximately 1,000 people have ever accomplished this!

So again, despite the loss, this was a fun moment!
Tonight, the A's send out J.T. Ginn to try and help tie up this series. As a team, the A's seem to have all the right pieces in general, but they ultimately are still hovering around .500 at the moment. I think the fellas just needs more experience together. But night in and night out this team is fun to watch and can beat anyone I feel!
Let's do it!
