A's secure series victory with win over Mariners! | Aaron Civale on the mound as A's seek sweep

Ah yes even though my Phillies are utterly collapsing, my A's are looking strong which is nice. Even against the White Sox which was a series loss, the A's didn't look completely outmatched.
Now against the Mariners, the A's essentially achieved mission accomplished already as they defeated the 2025 AL West Champions for the second game in a row, securing the series victory. Feels good! The Mariners have been looking like potentially the next great team in baseball, but the A's have something to say!
The A's recorded 13 hits in the 5-2 victory. 5 different A's recorded two hits and every batter in the lineup reached base. Jeff McNeil is starting to warm up now all of a sudden. He had two hits including hitting his first homer as an Athletic! Jacob Lopez grinded through 5 1/3 innings of work.
The A's are having this success without 2x All-Star Brent Rooker by the way. Rooker has hit 30+ homers in three straight seasons. Once he returns hopefully that will make this team even more dangerous.
The A's still have a slim lead in the AL West. It's time to strive for even better and secure the sweep today, and begin another series against the Rangers Friday!
It's nice talking about a good baseball team before I write about the struggling Phillies LOL.
Let's get that 14th win!
#GOATHLETICS!!!
