Well, prior to the Phillies playing earlier today, both of my baseball teams won two consecutive games by just a single run, pretty interesting!

Indeed, the A's won once again vs the Cubs yesterday and it was pretty thrilling! Up until the eighth inning, the A's were down by two, by a score of 4-2. Colby Thomas absolutely crushed his second homer of the year to make it a one run game. Then Shea Langeliers drills a double and Tyler Soderstrom drives him in, although he's thrown out at second. But bottom line was we had a tie game!!!

The game then reaches extras where Nick Kurtz is clutch as usual and drives in Alika Williams. Sheesh, Nick Kurtz is really the man.

That's basically the game from there. The A's have surprised me lately. They were slumping, the pitching rotation has taken some hits, but they keep staying afloat. They're showing that fight that I saw from them earlier in the season! The A's had ten hits in the 5-4 victory.

And oh yeah, Nick Kurtz was also named AL Player of the Month for May! I was just saying how he is becoming an MVP candidate, if he picks up a few more of these awards, they'll have to give him an MVP! That would be amazing!

Tonight, the A's seek to sweep the Cubs which would be a fairly solid statement as most perceive the Cubs to be a better team I would say. A win would also bring the A's back to .500!

J.T. Ginn looks to remain solid and get the win, I like the A's chances with him on the mound!
