Thursday went absolutely perfectly for the Sixers!!! I said in my last post they've got a certain swagger about them and I think it's fair to say I'm on to something. They had a new sense of confidence in Game 5 despite the deficit that felt real. They went ahead and replicated that performance in Game 6! Game 6 was the most convincing Sixers' win of this series.

Embiid scored less but almost had a triple-double. He scored 19, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished 8 assists. George scored 23, Maxey scored 30. Edgecombe and Oubre Jr. combined for 28 points and 17 rebounds!

I am soooooo excited and nervous for tonight. To come this far after being down 3-1 is truly mind-blowing. If they pull this off it will be an all-time Sixers moment!!!

Ugh the suspense is almost over. Paul George feels a bit ill but is still playing. Jayson Tatum is apparently out with a knee issue which is MASSIVE news. But the Celtics played without Tatum for most of 2025-26. This is still a scrappy experienced team. The Sixers can't get overconfident. They must still respect this Celtics team, especially in Boston.

I don't know what to say, at this point I am just proud of this team. They look ready to win I think... I hope. No matter the result of this game, a night like this is what sports is all about. My son is over tonight with me and I am a lucky man to be able to spend such an epic Sixers night with him by my side.
