76ers win AGAIN last night! | Have a massive test in Cleveland tonight
The Sixers won AGAIN last night, officially sweeping the Hornets in the 2024/25 regular season and reaching ten straight wins overall against them!
The big three actually played last night again which was awesome, Embiid wore his mask to help protect his sinus facture. He ended up dropping 34 in just 31 minutes! Maxey dropped in 23 more points of his own, and Paul George essentially played as a swiss army knife role, nearly achieving a double double with ten rebounds, eight assists and just five points. An intriguing, solid contribution. His adaptability on a team constructed may be a massively important role. I'm starting to see George as like a Andre Iguodala/Chris Bosh/ type of role on this team, and he may have potential to be even better than those guys in this role. A TRUE number three. Hmmm.
Kelly Oubre Jr. had another strong outing dropping 22 points and grabbing 5 rebounds!
These more recent round of injuries doesn't seem to be impacting the team as badly as I thought, but they haven't played many powerful teams recently either. These injuries and possible lack of team chemistry still could bite the Sixers, time will tell. The Sixers have played a bit less games than many other teams around the league. Not only is the schedule getting tougher, but they will begin to be a bit more frequent as well.
A big example is tonight, the Hornets are one of the weakest teams in the league, but now today on the second day of a back to back, the Sixers are facing the CAVS, who are playing like championship contenders and are arguably a top three team in the NBA at this very moment.
The Sixers have hopefully grown a bit more mentally tough, and their play on the court has been getting better. This is going to be a very intriguing test and could tell a lot about the Sixers at present. The Sixers played one of the worst teams in the league yesterday, today they are facing one of the best. I think a test like this is good for the team right now.
Spending time with my son on Christmas weekend! But will try and keep track of the game the best I can.
