76ers lose yet again despite Embiid's return | Set to face the UNDEFEATED Cavaliers
Back to back games for the first time this season and I am ready for it despite this season not going particularly well. Between the Titans AND Sixers playing bad, I am just used to this sports pain. From writing practically daily on the Phillies and now Sixers and Titans writing more frequently seems a lot more natural, well at least in comparison of how hard it seemed initially.
The Knicks displayed how well balanced their roster is and how even if the Sixers matchup fairly well talent wise, the Knicks are some dogs who ACTUALLY have built chemistry together.
Joel Embiid continues to be a really nonchalant, casual sarcastic jokester about everything. This really does bother me, I mean he acts like he's this all time great already. He seems like a decent due and he's made it very far in life, but these fans want championships and he's getting paid super handsomely to run around a basketball court. Doesn't feel like Embiid is all that professional at this point. Feels like he's not meeting anyone halfway. Fans, media, or teammates. He is not really like a huge nasty distraction but he's similar to the Aaron Rodgers of the NBA.
The team played ok basketball last night. Jared McCain continues to intrigue me. If he can be a top bench player or better out of nowhere, he could potentially be pivotal for this team if they plan on flipping the script on this season in the coming weeks.
I think the Sixers have talent but they can't just sleep through this first portion of the season. The math won't be mathing soon.
The opponents get only more difficult as they face a RED HOT and UNDEFEATED 12-0 Cavaliers team led by Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen. Super interesting roster full of surging or in their absolute prime players.
If the Sixers pull this off this will be epic. Knock off an undefeated team out of nowhere WITHOUT Embiid. This game is all of a sudden a lot more interesting than I anticipated prior to the season.
