76ers are BACK in action vs the Hawks tonight!
Finally after eight days the Sixers are back in action!! Eight days ago they got absolutely rocked by the Knicks which was a pretty depressing way to enter the All-Star break. It was actually the second game in a row the Sixers got wrecked. The Sixers were without Embiid in both of those games and even after all this time off Embiid WON'T be back tonight.
It's been about two calendar weeks now with not much great news regarding Embiid. This man really loves to play with fans' emotions I swear. I really was optimistic. If he isn't back soon, I'll officially consider myself played. Ugh...
The Sixers have proven they are somewhat capable SOMETIMES without Embiid but they clearly aren't as dangerous without him. They do still hold the sixth seed but tonight they will be facing the Atlanta Hawks and the Hawks ALWAYS give the Sixers problems so this should be interesting.
There was a shred of positive news at least during the All-Star break. That news is that V.J. Edgecombe continues to make a name for himself! He was named the 2026 Rising Stars Game MVP!
This year's game was full of some really strong talent and I'm so glad V.J. got to show the world just how good he is! I am really hoping V.J. continues to progress and excel because this Sixers roster needs to be semi prepared for the future considering 2/3 of this supposed Big Three is never on the court.
This team really plays with my emotions I swear but V.J. has been a real bright spot!
