Weekend Wahala

Weekend is usually a break in the working week, maybe for some two days including the sabbath day. Or can I just say Saturday and Sunday. For some it may be a break, but for me it is usually busier than the usual working days. Infact, some times I become too busy that I pray for Monday to come quickly and rescue me. Hahaha 😂.

We do alot of church outreaches, and 98% of those outreaches are done during the weekend. We prefer the weekend because most of us involved in carrying it out do go to either or school. The people we are going to meet in the villages don't have problem with any day at all, but we need it to always be weekend so as to have enough people to help us out when praying for people or during the medical outreach.
Aside that, we also have lots of programs in my church that get me too involved. The position that my husband occupy in the church get me doing lots of things in the church most weekends. Let me give us a good example of this weekend that just started today. Yesterday was Thursday and I have been cooking for a program in our church for the leaders that came from all part of the north for a retreat. The retreat started yesterday being 27th of July, 2023. I did the cooking yesterday for about twenty people. Today I am still cooking for them and will still do the cooking tomorrow for them.
This is actually sopposed to be my two resting days from school because I don't have lectures in school Fridays. But after going to school from Monday to Thursday receiving hot lectures that I don't even understand some of them. Having to manage and do some assignments that I just copy and paste from the Google simply because I don't really get what the assignment is all about. Then, coming down to the end of the week, I will still start another work.

Another thing that I want to say about weekend is that is very special even though it might look very busy for me. I love the fact that we have the time to attend special occasions like: traditional ceremonies, weddings, birthday's sent forth prayers and lots more. We meet some of our friends during the weekend that maybe work could not allow us meet together because of the nature of our work and business. So, even though it may be very busy for me, I still enjoy it with all the stress it gives to me.

So, in summary, I think I prefer resting and relaxing during the week days than to rest during the weekend. But all the same, I don't think that there is rest for one as long as we are still here on earth. Though we try to relax, but it will still be for just a moment. We still have alot of things to do at home that will still keep us busy.
